黑龙江体彩11选五开奖:Upper School Character Development & Outreach
体彩前三直玩法介绍 www.2djw.net Kindness, respect and integrity have been at the heart of a Harker education since the school’s inception in 1893. While we help our upper school children develop into accomplished students, we also expect them to value honor and integrity and to be kind, caring and compassionate human beings who want to make a difference.
Character Development Methods
Upper school students sign the Harker Honor Code each year, pledging to support community principles, including acceptance and openness to a diversity of beliefs, viewpoints and interests. At Harker there is an ecosystem of respect and kindness, and the students care about one another and support each other.
Outreach supports academic learning, compassion and deeper connections to the community and the world.
Service and helping others – locally and globally – is in the DNA of the Harker community. More than 300 nonprofit programs are supported by Harker students through fundraisers, advocacy and awareness campaigns and volunteerism. From annually collecting hundreds of pounds of food for local food banks, to presenting youth-generated solutions to global issues on behalf of the nation, Harker students are compassionate, caring citizens of their communities and the world who want to make a difference.
